"I think I'm already in a good shape, we passed three weeks on altitude in Tenerife. It was a great training camp with my teammates, I'm confident for tomorrow and the next races. It was my second altitude training camp, last year I was in Livigno and I had a good response on that so I expect the same now. The first days you need to adapt and then the plan was to work very hard during two weeks. I feel well, so I'm looking forward to the races now."

"The goal is to go for a Flemish classic this season and I want to be present or take good results in other beautiful races, I want to be up there in the finals. Together with the team I choose to start the season this year at Murcia and Almeria, as these races could suit me and it gives me the opportunity to still take my form to the best level."

"Beginning of December I was at home, where I also did some recons of some Flemish classics. Afterwards I trained in Malaga, with Victor Campenaerts, during two weeks. And after having some time again at home, I went to Denia for the first team's training camp and then three weeks to Tenerife."

"Training went well, but a race is still something different. Tomorrow will be a good test, with climbing and we expect some wind. I think it will be a hard race from beginning to finish. I am excited to race now. Training is nice, but with racing you have the adrenaline, you live for the races and I'm just looking forward to putting on a number again tomorrow."
