Lotto Dstny welcomes MR Solar as a new partner for next year. The Belgian company is a growing player internationally for generating energy with solar panels, storing energy with batteries and optimising energy management. Located in the West Flemish city Zwevegem, MR Solar is also settled in the Netherlands. Next to that, they have already realised several projects in Germany and Spain focusing on a structural internationalization in the future.

Robin Maes, CEO of MR Solar, founded the company in 2009 and let it grow into a specialist in solar panels, charging equipment and heat pumps both on the residential and industrial market together with 200 employees. “We want to expand further in the Netherlands, but also other markets as France and Italy are a long term goal. We chose to partner up with Lotto Dstny as it has the longest history in Belgian cycling. It’s a team that always finds a second breath.”

Sustainable energy management is another important value for MR Solar. In their head office in Belgium the company produces almost all their needed energy with a PV installation. They also recently installed two DC fast chargers where employees can charge their car in no time. Being public, these fast chargers can be used by employees of nearby companies or nearby residents.

MR Solar perfectly corresponds to the values and goals of Lotto Dstny, also confirms Yana Seel, Chief Business Officer of Lotto Dstny: “The agreement on the partnership went quite fast with Robin and his team. It is always very challenging to go for a new project, we are super happy we can welcome MR Solar aboard. At the same time I would like to thank Xavier Dewulf, CEO of our loyal partner CAPS Energy, for sharing their positive experiences with MR Solar on all kinds of possible activations within Lotto Dstny and cycling. I am certain this partnership will take both the team and MR Solar to a higher level.”
