Development A great weekend for the Lotto Dstny Development Team
On Saturday the Lotto Dstny Development Team was active in Liège-Bastogne-Liège U23. After his third spot at Paris-Roubaix, Robin Orins took another impressive result finishing second. "I'm super happy with my second place, I think it was the highest possible today. We had Victor Vaneeckhoutte in the break, which was good, after a hectical beginning of the race with a lot of attacks", Orins looks back.
"On Haute Levée a selection was made, we came to Victor and I felt well. Sadly Jarno Widar already stopped, as he felt sick. That wasn't ideal, I knew I had to survive la Redoute. I survived and we were there with 6 riders. It was all or nothing in the last kilometer, as someone rode away, but I felt cramps and second in the end is really nice."
Yesterday the fifth and last stage of Tour du Loir et Cher was on the program. After a win of Lorenz Van de Wynkele at stage 1, the Devo Team came close to another victory with Steffen De Schuyteneer finishing third: "We were in front with a group, during the race I had some mechanical problems so a third place it was. I'm really happy with the result, also with my second spot in the GC and the youth jersey, after the team work, which earlier brought us a stage win. I also crashed quite hard in the first stage, so in the end I'm really happy. My next goals are Gent-Wevelgem next week and the Belgian Championship time trial at home in Geraardsbergen."
