ProTeam Jenno Berckmoes ready for the second part of the season

Jenno Berckmoes is ready for the second part of the season: "I took a major step compared to last year. I feel good and ready for the 4 Jours de Dunkerque."
Race 13 May 2024

“I’m happy I got some time to reset after a busy spring. I took four days off the bike and then I trained for three weeks, where everything went perfectly and I had some time for my girlfriend and family. It was necessary to be home for a bit after a busy period. I feel good now, I don’t think I’m at my top level yet but I aim for that in the upcoming races.”

“If I look back to the first part of my season, I’m super happy. I took a victory and several nice results. I could help other teammates, it was very successful. Maybe for my last races in the spring, I was a bit tired, but I took a major step compared to last year. I come to the races with a different feeling, in the team everything runs smoothly and all these small percentages make that you can perform well.”

Gaining experience

“The flemish classics were difficult for the team, as we missed a real leader. It was nice for me to participate at some and to gain experience. I think we did our best, I know for me personally I still need to grow for the classics. For this week's 4 Jours de Dunkerque we have several cards to play. We will help Milan (Menten) for the sprints and I will try to not lose time in the general classification. I think the fifth stage suits me best and there I hope to play a role as well. It’s quite unpredictable. Tony Gallopin, one of our sports directors, will definitely have several plans for us. We will try to take out the maximum.”
